Contingent WIC Nutritionist/Competent Professional Authority (CPA)

 

JOB SUMMARY Under the direct supervision of a higher classified employee, the WIC CPA primary responsibility is to ensure the delivery of program services in compliance with State and WCHD's guidelines, policies, and procedures. Responsibilities of this position would include certifications, re-certifications, mid-certification evaluations through eligibility determination, nutrition education, community referrals, prescribing food packages, appointment scheduling and accurate documentation of services in MIWIC system. The CPA provides client assessments, client centered nutrition education for individual and groups. The CPA will promote breastfeeding as the optimal / normative standard of infant feeding.
